Girl, 16, critical after suspected ecstasy collapse

A 16-year-old girl is critically ill in hospital after she is thought to have taken ecstasy and was found collapsed in an alleyway.
The teenager was found in the alley off Wilbraham Road in the Chorlton area of Manchester at about 19:30 BST on Tuesday.
Police said they were contacted by an ambulance crew who arrived and took the girl to hospital.
A 21-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs, Greater Manchester Police said.
Welfare concern
A police spokesman said: "We were called by our colleagues at the North West Ambulance Service in relation to a concern for welfare of a teenage girl.
"The girl, 16, was taken to hospital to be seen by healthcare professionals where she remains in critical condition.
"A 21-year-old female was arrested and remains in police custody.
"Enquires are ongoing at this stage."
