Woman injured in fall from flat window
A woman in her 20s has been seriously injured after reportedly falling from the window of a flat.
North Yorkshire Police said they were alerted to the incident on Montpellier Parade in Harrogate by paramedics at about 06:15 BST on Sunday. The ambulance service had been responding to reports that a woman had fallen from a flat window.
The woman was taken to hospital where she remained in a serious condition, a force spokesperson added.
"The full circumstances of the incident are being investigated and police remain at the scene at this time," they said.
They added: "Thank you to local residents, businesses and members of the public for their patience while we carry out our work at the scene."
Montpellier Parade comprises a row of shops and cafes - including the famous Bettys tea room - with flats above.
