Two men have been charged after a teenage boy was attacked with acid and taken to hospital.

He was hurt by the substance in an incident on Vaudrey Road in Stockport, Greater Manchester, last month.

A 22-year-old man from Rochdale and a 47-year-old man from Stockport have been charged in connection with the attack.

Both are set to appear in court later this week.

Greater Manchester Police said the younger man faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and conspiring to cause the harm.

He has also been charged with two counts of possession of a corrosive substance, and aggravated burglary.

The 47-year-old was charged with conspiracy to cause gross bodily harm with intent.

Police confirmed the injured boy had since been discharged from hospital.
