Appeal for information over two-vehicle collision
Officers investigating a collision in Wakefield which left a teenage scooter rider seriously injured have appealed for anyone with information about what happened to contact them.
The crash took place on Northfield Road, at the junction with Wakefield Road, in Horbury, at about 22:00 BST on Saturday 25 August, according to West Yorkshire Police.
It involved a Piaggio Zip scooter which was being driven by an 18-year-old male and a Seat Mii car which was turning onto Wakefield Road when the collision occurred.
Police also asked for anyone with dash cam footage from the scene at around the time of the crash to get in touch.
The scooter rider was continuing to recover from his injuries following the collision, a force spokesperson said.
