Police investigating the biggest drugs seizure in the history of the Irish state have charged an eighth man.
More than two tonnes of cocaine with a estimated value of 鈧157m (拢136m) was found on board a cargo ship last week.
A Panamanian-registered bulk carrier, the MV Matthew, was intercepted and escorted to port in Cork last Tuesday.
Earlier this week, four men appeared in court charged in connection to the cocaine seizure.
Three other men had previously been charged, including the captain of the MV Matthew.
The man charged on Wednesday evening is due to appear before Midleton District Court on Thursday morning.
