The body of a man in his 20s has been found in the water near a Dorset seaside resort.
Dorset Police closed a section of Weymouth beach after it received a report at 10:46 BST that a body had been discovered in the water near Weymouth Pavilion.
The man's family has been informed and a cordon remains in place at the scene while officers investigate the death, police said.
Weymouth Town Council said on social media it would post an update when the beach reopened.
