A girl has been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a car crashed into several stationary cars outside of a school in Bulkington.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Weston Lane at about 15:15 BST on Thursday.

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said a vehicle had collided with "several parked cars" before the driver left the scene.

The girl, who was in one of the vehicles, was assessed and taken to hospital for injuries not believed to be serious, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Officers said the driver had earlier been pursued by police cars and an NPAS helicopter due to suspected involvement with multiple van thefts in the West Midlands and Warwickshire.

The vehicle was not being pursued at the time of the crash, police added.

Members of the public with more information have been asked to contact the force.
