Police have launched an appeal for information after a deer was found beheaded near an Inverness cemetery.
The discovery was made at the weekend in woodland close to Torvean cemetery.
Police have described the incident as a wildlife crime.
Officers have urged anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch.
