A magician's straitjacket has been stolen from outside a shop, police who are investigating have said.
The jacket belonged to 62-year-old Malcolm Norton who has been a professional magician since he was 21 and is now the owner of the Top Secret Magic store on Southside Street in Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police, which is appealing for information, said the item was taken at about 16:25 BST on Saturday.
Mr Norton said the straitjacket, which used to be part of his stage show, had been outside the store for the past decade and it was "very sad" to see the front of the premises without it.
鈥淭he jacket has been outside whenever I鈥檝e been in the shop for the past 10 years and it鈥檚 almost part of the furniture here in the Barbican," he said.
鈥淭he front of the shop looks bare now because it鈥檚 not there, it鈥檚 very sad.
鈥淚 hope it will be found, but I鈥檓 not sure I鈥檒l ever see it again to be honest.鈥
