Police launch appeal after spate of burglaries
Police are appealing for residents to check their doorbell and CCTV footage after a number of burglaries in east Devon.
The incidents happened overnight from Monday to Tuesday in Exmouth.
Officers were called to a report of a burglary from a property on St Margaret鈥檚 View, in which the keys to a blue Audi A4 car were taken and the car stolen.
It has also been reported that a white Vauxhall Vivaro van was stolen under similar circumstances from a property on Bradham Lane.
At about 01:15 GMT on Tuesday, police received another report of a burglary at Knobblies Bike Shop on Exeter Road, in which seven high-value bikes were taken.
Det Insp Guy Biggar said: "We are currently investigating a number of burglaries that have all taken place overnight from Monday 25 November to Tuesday 26 November.
"It is not clear that they are all linked but as part of our investigation we are asking for residents in these areas to check their personal CCTV or doorbell cameras to see if they have any footage which may help with our inquiries."
Anyone who can assist police with their investigation is asked to contact the force.
