A major road in Cornwall was closed in both directions due to flooding earlier.

National Highways said the A38 was closed between the A390 at Liskeard and the A30 at Bodmin at 05:30 BST.

They said Devon and Cornwall Police were on the scene with specialist contractors clearing the water from the carriageway.

The road was opened shortly before 09:00.
