Police have arrested a man after officers found nearly 300 cannabis plants in a raid in a "quiet village".
Officers visited a property in Park Lane, Sutton Bonington, Nottinghamshire, at about 18:00 BST on Monday after reports of a "strong smell of cannabis".
They later gained entry to a semi-detached properly and discovered the plants in rooms across the building.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation, abstracting electricity without authority, and an immigration offence.
He remains in custody, Nottinghamshire Police said.
The plants will be taken away and destroyed, and any growing equipment put beyond use, the force added.
