Man charged with arson after supermarket fire

A man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a supermarket in Stoke-on-Trent.
Emergency services were called to the fire at Farmfoods on Moorland Road, Burslem, about 13:00 BST on Thursday.
Police said John Condliffe, 53, from Hanley, who was arrested on Thursday, was additionally charged with theft from a shop.
Mr Condliffe will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, on Saturday, officers added.
