Man accused of GBH on woman and burglary
A man accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on a woman during a burglary has appeared in court.
The 38-year-old is accused of entering an address in Kings Drive, Egremont, as a trespasser and assaulting a woman on 13 June.
Appearing at Carlisle's magistrates' court, he is also accused of beating the woman and causing criminal damage worth 拢100 to her mobile phone on 19 May.
No pleas were taken and he was remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on 15 July.
