A pub and nightclub has had its licence suspended for three months.

Sonny's Bar and Bentley's nightclub in Towyn, Conwy, had children as young as 13 lying drunk and unconscious on the pavement outside, after an under-18s party, according to a council report.

North Wales Police sought a review following the event.

The decision by Conwy council is subject to appeal and EJP Entertainment which runs the pub and club has been approached for comment.

The local authority's licensing sub-committee met on 8 December to consider a report outlining 16 incidents of crime and disorder associated with the premises since April.

As well as the licence suspension, the licensing sub-committee said the designated premises supervisor has been removed.

It had also added "significant conditions" to protect children from harm.

Emma Priestley, owner of EJP Entertainment, apologised, and told the review hearing she had been let down by a former senior member of staff.
