Man charged after woman injured in pub shooting

A 34-year-old man has been charged following a shooting outside a pub in South Yorkshire which left a woman seriously injured.
Police were called to The Red Lion on High Street, Wath-upon-Dearne, to reports of a firearms discharge last Friday just before 22:00 BST.
A 55-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.
Oliver Corney, 34, of Cricket Inn Road, Sheffield, has been charged with assault and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Further arrests
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Sheffield magistrates later.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, harassment, failure to appear and breach of bail conditions.
They have both been released on police bail pending further investigation.
