'Heart of gold' man dies after crash outside pub
Tributes have been paid to a Huddersfield man who died after his car crashed into a wall outside a pub and flipped on to its roof.
Chad Matheson, 21, was driving a black Mercedes A180 when the collision happened outside The Sovereign pub, Shepley, shortly after 21:30 BST on 6 July, West Yorkshire Police said.
The parents of Mr Matheson, who died in hospital on Friday, said he had a "heart of gold".
"He was so loving, caring, and honest, but a little crazy and this made him unique," they said in a statement.
"Our family is devastated at his passing; however we remain strong, and his memories are keeping us going."
It was reported that the car also crashed into two vehicles parked in the pub car park.
West Yorkshire Police previously asked witnesses to come forward, including anyone with any "relevant CCTV or dashcam footage".
