About 230 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £100,000 were found in a disused building, police said.

The address, which used to be a club for ex-servicemen in Slant Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse, was raided by police at about 08:00 BST on Tuesday.

Two men, 43 and 47, both of no fixed address, were arrested at the scene and charged with cannabis cultivation.

The pair appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court earlier and were remanded in custody.

They are next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 15 November.
