A driver died when a small van veered off the road and crashed into a ditch.

Despite efforts by firefighters to save the woman's life, she was confirmed dead at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The crash happened on the A452 Kenilworth Road near the Ramada Hotel at about 16:45 GMT on Tuesday.

An uninjured man in the back of the van was pulled to safety and assessed by medics before being discharged.
