A road near Sidmouth is expected to be closed for some time after a serious crash, police have said

Devon and Cornwall Police said emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on the A375 at Sidbury at about 10:30 BST.

The force said an air ambulance, paramedics and the fire service attended the crash involving a van.

Officers advised motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes. Anyone who witnessed the crash was asked to contact police.
