Access to the top end of a road linking a shopping complex in the west of the Isle of Man to the TT course has been permanently restricted.

Travelling onto Tynwald Mills Road from south of Ballig Bridge on the A3 has become prohibited, however the road itself beyond the junction remains two way.

The Department of Infrastructure said the restriction had been put in place for safety reasons.

A ban on vehicles turning right when emerging from the junction onto the TT course remains in place.
