Man in court after fatal A470 crash
A man has appeared in court after a car crash left a passenger dead when he was thrown from a car in the Brecon Beacons.
Craig Thomas, 51, of Cwrt y Tarrell in Llanfaes, Brecon, stands accused of causing death by careless driving while unfit through drugs.
Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates' Court heard a Ford Focus overturned after hitting a verge on the A470 on 22 March.
Passenger Lee Sullivan, 48, from Brecon, was thrown from the vehicle and landed in a stream. He died at the scene.
The crash happened between the Storey Arms and Brecon in March.
Craig Thomas is also accused of driving unlicensed and uninsured.
He was released on bail and will appear at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on 18 October.
