Sunnica solar farm decision delayed due to election
The proposed energy farm would span about 2,500 acres over the Suffolk-Cambridgeshire border

A decision on whether a 2,500-acre solar farm can be built has been delayed due to the upcoming general election.
The government previously pushed back a decision on the Sunnica Energy Farm on the Suffolk-Cambridgeshire border in April for a fourth time.
A deadline for a decision on whether construction can go ahead was moved to 20 June, but the election, that will be held on 4 July, has disrupted this.
A spokesperson for Sunnica said an update would be provided following the election.
A decision on the plan was originally due last September.
East Cambridgeshire District Council and Suffolk County Council have both opposed the plans.
Sunnica said the land used would be decontaminated and returned to its original, largely agricultural use once the scheme was finished.
It said the farm would power 172,000 homes and create 1,500 jobs during construction, with 27 full-time jobs to run it.
