People and dogs rescued from rising tide by RNLI

Two people and three dogs were rescued by a lifeboat crew after they were cut off by an incoming tide.

RNLI lifeboat station volunteers at Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, were called out by HM Coastguard after the group got trapped.

The crew of three set off at about 15:55 GMT on Saturday and located them just after 16:00.

Wells RNLI said the group was taken to the beach outside the boathouse but no medical help was needed.

On Friday, a two people also needed rescuing by the Wells lifeboat team after they also got trapped by a rising tide.
