Aberdeen flight 'potentially at risk' due to error

A pre-flight error could have posed a risk to the safety of an aircraft taking off from Aberdeen Airport in poor weather, accident investigators have said.
The Boeing 737 cargo plane was heading for East Midlands Airport near Derby on 6 March last year in heavy snow.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said the incorrect flap setting was entered for the jet's wings.
Although this did not have any effect on the flight, the AAIB said in other circumstances there may have been a greater risk to the safety of the aircraft.
An investigation concluded a combination of poor weather conditions and time pressure may have influenced the crews' performance.
