Witness appeal after rape on coast path
Police are appealing for information after a rape in Portreath on Wednesday.
Officers said a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man at about 18:00 BST on the South West Coast Path at North Cliffs near Bassett Cove.
They said the man was white, about 6ft (1.8m) tall with a slim build and dark brown hair about 2in (5cm) long.
He was wearing a dark coloured T-shirt, dark jeans and dark trainers and left the area walking towards Godrevy, officers said.
Det Insp Dan McKenzie said: 鈥淭he woman is currently being supported by specially trained officers."
He asked anyone in the area at the time that may have seen something to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.
