Police are looking for a woman who was walking a dog that bit a young child on the leg.

The States of Jersey Police said the woman was walking two dogs in Long Beach car park, near Gorey, at about 10:30 BST last Thursday, when one dog, a large brown one, bit the boy.

It said the dog walker called the dogs to her and she put them in a car before driving off.

The boy suffered a small wound to his thigh and went to the emergency department but did not need any further treatment, the police added.

Officers said the dog walker was described as middle-aged, with short blonde hair and driving a small blue car.

They asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
