A pensioner is in hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition after being hit by a car outside a hotel.

The collision happened on Friday at about 12:45 BST on Blackfriars Street, Hereford, outside a Premier Inn.

A Honda Jazz crashed into a woman in her 70s, police said.

West Mercia Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it.

The force, contacted by the ´óÏó´«Ã½ for more comment, said it was unable to offer additional detail at this stage, but confirmed there had been no arrests.
