Two people have been threatened in a south Belfast house by four masked men, one armed with a gun, in a burglary.

The men reportedly forced entry into a property in Greystown Close at about 23:00 BST on Saturday.

Police said they made threats before taking jewellery and a large sum of cash.

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Det Sgt McGearty said the victims were physically uninjured, but "understandably they were left extremely distressed by the incident."

The police have said their enquires are still continuing and have asked anyone with information or who witnessed anything suspicious to get in touch.
