Ballymagorry murder victim named as Kyle McDermott

A man, whose death is being treated as murder, in Ballymagorry, County Tyrone, has been named as Kyle McDermott.
Police said officers responded to a report of an assault in the Victoria Road shortly after 23:30 BST on Sunday.
PSNI Det Insp Hazel Miller said that the 24-year-old died "following an altercation" in the early hours of Monday morning.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the police investigation and remains in police custody at this time, the senior officer added.
鈥淎 young man鈥檚 life has been cut short, and a loving family are now left trying to come to terms with their grief. My thoughts are with them at this distressing time,鈥 Det Insp Hazel Miller said.
鈥淥ur investigation is still in the early stages, and I want to take this opportunity to reiterate my earlier appeal for anyone with information to come forward."
Earlier, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said they received two 999 calls about an incident in the Victoria Road area of Ballymagorry, one at 00:05 BST and a second at 00:39 BST.
Two ambulances were dispatched to the incident and one person was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital, NIAS added.
'Community totally and utterly devastated'
SDLP West Tyrone assembly member Daniel McCrossan said the "community is totally and utterly devastated" following the death of a man in Ballymagorry.
鈥淥ur thoughts and prayers are with this man鈥檚 family and friends, my heart goes out to them as they deal with this earth-shattering news.
"I鈥檓 sure everyone in the local community will rally around them at this terrible time. I commend police for their quick response to this and would urge the public to give them the space they need to carry out their investigation."
Mr McCrossan urged anyone with information to bring it to the police.
