Men in court charged with murder after street shooting

Two men accused of murdering a man who was shot on a Merseyside street have appeared in court.
Rikki Berry, 36, died in hospital after the shooting in Quarryside Drive, Kirkby, Knowsley, on 17 July.
Connor Walsh, 26, of Simonswood Lane, Kirkby, and Michael Smith, 26, of no fixed-abode, are charged with murdering Mr Berry.
The pair appeared via video link at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, and were remanded into custody until a plea-hearing on 1 November.
A provisional trial date has been fixed to begin on 20 January at Liverpool Crown Court.
Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information and for witnesses to come forward.
