A woman on a mobility scooter has died following a road traffic collision.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash involved a blue Peugeot and a mobility scooter and it happened on Exeter Road, in Dawlish, at about 11:55 GMT on Wednesday 13 November.

A local woman in her 80s was taken to Derriford Hospital.

Police said she later died as a result of her injuries.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
