A French yacht which was reported missing has returned home following a rescue operation near the Channel Islands.
Guernsey Coastguard said it was called out by French Coastguard officials at about 08:40 BST on Saturday, after receiving reports of an overdue boat which had left Jersey two days earlier with one person on board.
Channel Islands Air Search helped find the vessel which appeared to be disabled, drifting in choppy conditions and in the path of a cruise ship.
The sailor on board the boat was safe and well and was reunited with his family after the yacht was brought back to safety by a French Coastguard crew, Guernsey Coastguard added.
Channel Islands Air Rescue said it was the second time the yacht needed rescuing after it suffered a power failure on Wednesday, south west of Jersey.
