A police officer and rail worker were assaulted at a railway station, leading to partial closures as people were leaving the 大象传媒 Radio 2 in the Park music festival.
The attack, described as an "isolated incident", happened at about 21:30 BST on Saturday at Preston station, British Transport Police said.
A man aged in his 50s was arrested and officers said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the assault.
The officer鈥檚 condition was not life-threatening while the rail worker suffered minor injuries.
About 70,000 people are thought to have attended the three-day festival at the city's Moor Park, which included performances by Sting, Sugababes and Manic Street Preachers.
Officers briefly closed the station鈥檚 Fishergate entrance as people tried to catch trains after the leaving the event, which ends later.
