Woman, 27, found dead in Stoke-on-Trent

A woman has been found dead at a property in Stoke-on-Trent, prompting a police investigation.

The woman, 27, was found unresponsive at the address on Corporation Street shortly before 03:00 GMT on Sunday.

Paramedics attended but she was pronounced dead at the scene. A police cordon was set up while officers made inquiries.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said the death was being treated as unexplained.
