A 65-year-old man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

Timothy Hurdle, of High Street, Timsbury, will appear at Bristol Magistrates Court on Thursday, Avon and Somerset Police said.

It comes after the street in the North Somerset village was cordoned off by the emergency services for much of Tuesday due to a fire at a property.
