Man, 34, dies in motorbike crash

A 34-year-old man from East Sussex has died in a motorbike crash.

The motorcyclist, from Eastbourne, crashed into a roundabout on Hailsham Road, in Hailsham, police said.

Sussex Police said it received reports of the incident just after 05:00 BST.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his family has been informed.

The road was closed in both directions while police investigated and recovered debris.

Officers appealed for witnesses to the crash, believed to have happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, to contact the force.
