Arrest after drain cover dropped from bridge hits car
A man has been arrested after a drain cover was dropped from a footbridge and smashed through a car windscreen.
The incident happened on Jimmy Hill Way in Coventry shortly after 13:00 GMT on Wednesday, West Midlands Police said.
No one was seriously injured in the incident, which saw the drain cover smash through the glass, onto the dashboard.
A 43-year-old man was identified the following day and arrested on suspicion of causing danger to road users. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
