The police are investigating an overnight attack on the DUP constituency office of Sammy Wilson in Carrickfergus.

They say damage to windows and doors "may have been" caused by ball bearings.

Mr Wilson, who is standing for re-election as MP for east Antrim, believes some sort of firearm was used.

The incident on Lancasterian Street in Carrickfergus was reported to police shortly after 09:30 BST on Wednesday, but is believed to have happened overnight.
