Man dies after being hit by lorry
A man has died after being hit by a heavy goods vehicle in Flintshire.
The incident happened in the village of Flint Mountain, Flintshire on Monday afternoon and saw the A5119 Northop Road closed for several hours.
North Wales Police received a report of the collision at around 13:00 GMT and attended along with other emergency services, including Wales Air Ambulance.
However, despite all their efforts, the pedestrian died at the scene.
Detective Constable Melanie Hughes asked for any witnesses to what happened to get in touch.
"We are urging anybody who may have been travelling along Northop Road around the time of the collision to contact us," she said, adding that officers would like to hear from those with dashcam or private CCTV footage.
