A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman in Leeds.
The body of 32-year-old Theresa Jordan was discovered in bushes near an Asda store in the Harehills area of the city on 23 June 2022, 12 days after she went missing.
Mark Metcalfe, 39, appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of a body.
Wearing a grey top and black tracksuit bottoms, Mr Metcalfe, of Ashton Mount in Leeds, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday, where a plea is expected to be entered.
