Three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a car in Wolverhampton.

Officers on patrol in Bilston on Monday evening spotted a Peugeot 308, which was believed to have been stolen earlier in the day.

The driver initially failed to stop when ordered to but the car eventually came to a halt on Ashley Street, where the occupants got out of the car and ran off.

Three teenagers, one aged 15 and two aged 17, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle a short time later, West Midlands Police confirmed.
