Record participation in Belfast City Half Marathon

The 13.1 mile Belfast City Half Marathon race welcomed record numbers this year with 6,600 taking part in the event on Sunday.

The race started and finished on the Ormeau Embankment, adjacent to Ormeau Park.

Runners passed through the city centre from Custom House Square, via High Street, Cornmarket, William Street, Montgomery Street, Chichester Street and Castle Street on their way to the Falls Road.

Barnaba Kipoech, 31, from Kenya was the first man to cross the line, while Natasha Cockram, also 31, from Wales topped the women's table.
