Drive-through coffee shop plans for warehouse

A warehouse that has stood vacant for years could be redeveloped into a drive-through coffee shop.
The newly-submitted plans are for the building on the junction of the A60 and Rock Hill in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, which was previously Floors-2-Go.
The application would partly demolish the rear of the warehouse, and convert the remaining area into a coffee shop and shop space.
Plans, submitted by Bradford-based developer Metalcraft Projects Ltd, also include an electric vehicle charging hub with 16 bays.

Supporting documents state the plans would help to regenerate a prominent Mansfield junction that has been derelict for some time.
The site sits within Mansfield鈥檚 Riverside regeneration area, and the scheme represents a 鈥渟ignificant capital investment in the area鈥, the applicant said.
It also highlights the lack of electric vehicle charging points in this part of the country, pointing out it can discourage people from buying them.
The drive-through and the EV charging spaces would be accessed from Lime Tree Place.
The plans have been submitted to Mansfield District Council for consideration but no date for a decision has yet been confirmed.
