Man, 88, dies after M6 crash between car and HGV
A man who died after a crash on the M6 in Cumbria has been named.
The collision, between a car and an HGV, happened just south of Southwaite Services, near Carlisle, on Thursday at 22:50 GMT.
John Trotter, 88, from Penrith, Cumbria, was the driver of the car and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He died a day later.
Witnesses to the crash are being asked to contact Cumbria Constabulary.
