University to overhaul design workshops building

A university is set to overhaul one of its main buildings as part of a major refurbishment project.
Buckinghamshire New University said the design workshops building at its High Wycombe campus would be overhauled after plans were approved by Buckinghamshire Council.
Blueprints showed that 20 roof lights would be removed and replaced as part of the works, along with the roof covering and insulation.
The university would remain open throughout the project, it said in .
Planning officers have also approved the removal of existing doors, windows and shutters at the Queen Alexandra Road site.
鈥淪afety, security and wellbeing of students, staff and visitors to the university is absolutely paramount and will not be compromised by the works," the statement added.
