A 17-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with a murder at a restaurant in Dublin on Christmas Eve.

Tristan Sherry, 26, was a gunman in an attack at Browne's Steakhouse on Main Street in Blanchardstown when he died.

The boy, who appeared before Dublin District Court on Saturday, cannot be named because of his age.

He is the fourth person to be charged in connection with the incident.

The teenager was remanded in custody to appear again before the Children's Court on Wednesday.

Another man, James Hennessy Snr, 48, was shot and seriously injured at the restaurant before dying 11 days later in hospital.
