Pedestrian in his 80s dies after being hit by car
A man in his 80s has died in hospital almost three weeks after he was hit by a car.
Police said the pedestrian was struck on 6 November in Wigston Road, Oadby, Leicestershire, close to the junction with London Road, just after 08:15 GMT.
East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
He died as a result of his injuries on Sunday, police said.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has since been released under investigation.
