A 70-year-old man has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a motorcyclist in a hit-and-run collision in County Fermanagh.
Richard Maze, 70, died at the scene on the Boa Island Road near Belleek on 19 September.
Mr Maze, who was from Lisburn, served with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service for more than 30 years and was a highly regarded fire safety expert.
John Campbell from Millbrook Gardens in Castlederg appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court by video link from his solicitor鈥檚 office.
He is accused of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to remain where an accident occurred causing injury, failing to report an accident and failing to stop where an accident occurred.
A police officer said she could connect the accused to the charges and Mr Campbell confirmed that he understood them.
The case was adjourned for eight weeks until the 9 December.
