Man charged with GBH after pub attack

A man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm after another man, aged in his forties, was left in a critical condition at a pub.
Cleveland Police received reports of an assault at the Jack and Jill pub in Crossfell Road, Middlesbrough, on Saturday at about 18:00 BST.
A 25-year-old man appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded into custody before a hearing at Crown Court next month.
The man, in his forties, remained in hospital in a critical condition, police said.
